Welcome!

I hope that this website will help you discover ways we might work together. Psychotherapy is a process of exploring, learning, and growing that can help you feel better about yourself and your life.

Therapy can help you:

  • Learn more about yourself
  • Improve family and marital relationships
  • Achieve more fulfilling couple relationships
  • Recover from an eating disorder, such as Anorexia or Bulimia
  • Address your children and teens’ problems and behaviors
  • Adjust to major life changes
  • Improve depressed mood
  • Feel less anxious
  • Enhance your parenting skill

Therapy helps in many ways:

Many people feel that they want help dealing with life issues but do not know what to expect when they come to therapy. Psychotherapy offers the opportunity to work with a concerned professional who is trained to assist you in growing and enriching your life.

  • There is an attentive listener who cares about what you are saying, without judging or questioning your feelings. The support helps you feel empowered to learn more about yourself and begin to make life changes. You are encouraged to uncover patterns of behaviors, thoughts, or feelings that may be adding to or creating a problem.  In therapy you can learn about how those patterns can drain your energy; you have the opportunity to explore other ways to deal with your stresses.
  • An important aspect of therapy is the trusting relationship you develop with your therapist, which allows you to explore your thoughts and feelings in a caring, safe environment, and to build a connection that can carry over into other relationships.
  • Therapy can help you to discover new ways to act with others and to develop new skills.

My style is to be actively engaged with you, helping you understand your behaviors and feelings and learn more constructive life strategies.

In addition to therapy, I also offer Parent Group Discussion Series, click below to learn more about each series as well as how to register.
